The original mandate of the company was to produce and host cultural events in the GTA. PCS held several Cultural events in early 1988 and they hosted there first ever "Bhangra Jam" on December 8th 1988 at Terry Miller Recreational Centre in Brampton. That event was in fact the first ever ticketed party to be held in the GTA. The rest is history. Under the leadership of Parmpal Sidhu parmpal@punjabcultureshock.com, PCS went on to host some of the most extravagant events and parties in the Country.

PCS became a household name when in the early 90's, they hosted the first ever Daytime Jam in Canada. That event at Superstars Nightclub in Mississauga (the biggest club at the time) attracted more than 800 people who partied the afternoon away from 11am-6pm. Punjab Culture Shock went on to host several more day time events from 1990-1994. The biggest and most controversial of all was held at Superstars on December 20th 1991. That event featured Apache Indian from the UK, this was Apache's first ever International performance anywhere. In June 1996 PCS held a Massive party at the Opera House in Toronto which featured all the top DJ's and performers in Toronto including the now world famous funny man Russell Peters.

In early 2001-2003 PCS held the 1st ever Miss India Bikini Competition at Wild Water Kingdom an event that received massive media coverage and once again featured Apache Indian. Punjab Culture Shock has been featured in The Toronto Sun on 6 occasions, also in Times Of India, Business India, Now Magazine, Toronto Life, CBC Radio, CBC show "Culture Shock", The Fifth Estate, Electric Circus and many many other media installations.

In 2011 PCS founder Parmpal Sidhu decided to resurrect the Punjab Culture Shock name, re- branded simply as PCS Entertainment. PCS does not do regular events, but when they do something it is always Enormous in scale. The Re-incarnation of PCS took place officially on Friday June 24th 2011, When PCS  hosted the single biggest party Toronto has ever seen, at the biggest venue in the city, MUZIK. This event took place during the 2011 IIFA Awards in Toronto and attracted more than 5000 party revelers.
